Monitoring Locations

The project has now come to an end and we're not currently looking for more landholders however we still encourage you to upload your records onto iNaturalist. Find out more below.

Citizen Science

Citizen Science is a new term for an old passion. Field naturalists have long explored the outdoors, collecting records which have helped build the scientific community's knowledge of our natural environment. In the digital era, this past time has taken on a new life and new enthusiasts. With the ability to quickly and easily contribute information, anyone can participate in Citizen Science projects, collecting information which can benefit research in so many ways. It's a two way affair, citizens across the globe can help gather data for scientific purposes whilst also increasing their own understanding and involvement in caring for the environment.
Anyone can do Citizen Science. If you have Albert's Lyrebird or Marbled Frogmouth on your property, you can participate in our project even if we don't have monitoring equipment at your place. To help, follow the steps below!
